Collections Analyst (Retail)

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts across Spain and Portugal, ensuring timely payments and reducing overdue balances.
• Build customer relationships, resolve payment issues, negotiate solutions, and support positive commercial outcomes.
• Identify payment trends and risks and provide recommendations for credit and collections decisions.
• Work with Sales, Customer Service, and Credit teams to resolve disputes and remove payment barriers.
• Support digital tools and self-service platforms that improve customer experience and collections efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve operational excellence and cash performance.

Requirements

• Experience in collections, accounts receivable, credit control, or a similar customer-facing finance environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, including the ability to handle challenging conversations professionally.
• Experience with ERP systems, collections tools, or customer account management platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Experience working across multiple teams and functions to resolve issues and improve outcomes.
• Strong communication skills in Portuguese and English are required.
• Proactive problem-solving, ownership, and results orientation.
• Ability to build credibility and positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Resilience, adaptability, analytical thinking, attention to detail, collaboration, and commercial awareness.

• Spanish language skills.
