Sr. Specialist, AI Solutions Developer

Location: Waterdown, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 90,000–140,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered applications, copilots, automation solutions, and intelligent workflows.
• Translate business requirements into scalable AI solution architectures and technical specifications.
• Integrate AI services with enterprise applications, databases, APIs, and business workflows.
• Configure and deploy Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, and Microsoft Copilot technologies.
• Containerize, orchestrate, scale, and manage AI workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement responsible AI, security, privacy, access control, auditability, and governance requirements while collaborating with business, IT, engineering, data, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience developing AI solutions with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and related AI platforms.
• Strong understanding of large language models, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic AI workflows, and AI application patterns.
• Experience designing and implementing AI-powered copilots, intelligent assistants, knowledge management, and process automation solutions.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems, applications, databases, and business workflows.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar modern development languages.
• Experience using Docker for AI application and service containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration, scaling, deployment, and workload management.
• Ability to design secure, scalable, and maintainable end-to-end AI architectures; evaluate technologies for technical fit, scalability, cost, and sustainability; and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical audiences, including the ability to explain architecture concepts and guide implementation and change adoption.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Technology, or a related discipline with at least 6 years of relevant experience; or a graduate degree with at least 4 years of related experience; or at least 10 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Applicants must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program and obtain and maintain a positive security assessment. Some positions may require Canadian Reliability status or Level 2 Secret security clearance.

• Experience deploying, managing, scaling, and monitoring AI applications, automation services, APIs, and enterprise integration workloads across cloud and hybrid environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
