AI Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid, Toronto, Ontario — 30 Adelaide Street. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada and provide a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Salary: CAD 165,000–210,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and implement AI-enabled workflows that improve developer productivity and software quality.
• Build AI agents and automation supporting planning, development, testing, code review, integration, deployment, and operational support.
• Help evolve traditional SDLC practices into an AI-driven Application Development Lifecycle.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, analysts, architects, developers, QA teams, and technology leaders to identify automation opportunities.
• Support production applications, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and use AI-assisted techniques for root-cause analysis and incident resolution.
• Create technical documentation and operational procedures while improving application stability and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience with Java and Python.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise software applications and transforming SDLC practices into AI-driven ADLC platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, AI agents, prompt engineering, RAG concepts, context management, and AI evaluation and validation.
• Strong background in solution design, software development, testing, production support, microservices, event-driven architecture, database integration, secure coding, CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile delivery.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada and a valid work or study permit where applicable.
