Senior Data Engineer (Informatica PowerCenter / Data Masking)

Location: Lisbon or Porto, Portugal; hybrid work model. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Salary: EUR 4,620–5,670 for B2B; EUR 2,450–2,750 net for a permanent contract.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance data integration workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Design and maintain data masking workflows using Informatica PowerCenter or TDM to protect sensitive data across environments.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize complex ETL workflows, mappings, sessions, and high-volume data processes.
• Contribute to Data Quality initiatives, including validation rules, data controls, monitoring, and remediation.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and support deployment and industrialization across development, test, and production environments.
• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, ETL, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, including data masking, sessions, transformations, parameterization, and error handling.
• Proven experience troubleshooting and optimizing ETL processes handling large datasets.
• Strong SQL skills and a good understanding of relational databases.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Fluent English is required.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Informatica IDMC/CDI experience.
• Experience with PowerCenter-to-IDMC migration.
• CI/CD experience.
• Python or Shell scripting.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
