Data Analytics Engineer [Medior/Senior]

Location: Matosinhos/Porto, Portugal — hybrid setup with no mandatory office days

What you will do

• Build dimensional Kimball models in dbt on Snowflake from staging through the serving layer.
• Develop sales pipeline domains covering opportunity funnels, sales actuals, delivery, margin, and group management reporting.
• Extend dbt models into Power BI semantic models, including DAX measures and row-level security.
• Implement historical logic with dbt snapshots and SCD2, data quality tests, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with business analysts and controllers to align definitions across countries.
• Review colleagues’ work and contribute to shared modelling standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data modelling and analytics.
• Production experience with dbt and strong SQL skills on a cloud data warehouse, ideally Snowflake.
• Solid experience with dimensional modelling, especially designing and optimizing fact tables.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and peer review.
• Experience building Power BI semantic models with DAX measures and row-level security.
• Fluent English required for daily collaboration.

Nice to have

• Finance or sales data experience, including ERP or CRM sources.
• Experience with NetSuite, Dynamics 365, Tagetik, or Pigment.
• Experience with CI/CD for Power BI and the PBIP format.
• Interest in AI-assisted development within the data and analytics stack.
