AI Automation Engineer

Location: Warsaw or Rzeszow, Poland, with hybrid, office-based, or remote work options.

What you will do

• Analyze business requirements, translate them into automation solutions, and estimate implementation effort.
• Design, build, and maintain workflows in a self-hosted n8n environment, including triggers, webhooks, schedules, retries, and error handling.
• Create REST API integrations with Jira, Confluence, Active Directory, Microsoft Teams, Google Cloud, and BigQuery.
• Design and implement LLM-powered solutions for ticket classification and routing, summary generation, document data extraction, and AI agents using tool calling and MCP.
• Develop JavaScript or Python scripts, simple microservices, and custom n8n nodes where no-code tools are insufficient.
• Secure, monitor, document, and optimize automations, including credential management, personal-data protection, alerts, execution metrics, AI query costs, standards, templates, and team training.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in process automation, system integration, or backend development.
• Experience building and maintaining production workflows in n8n or similar tools such as Make or Zapier, with an interest in further developing n8n skills.
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript, with practical knowledge of JSON.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and integration mechanisms, including webhooks, OAuth 2.0, API tokens, pagination, and rate limits.
• Hands-on experience with language model APIs such as Claude or OpenAI, including prompt engineering, structured outputs, and tool calling.
• Knowledge of reliable solution design, including error handling, idempotency, logging, and workflow testing before deployment.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and basic Linux.
• Understanding of GDPR and secure processing of sensitive data in AI-powered solutions.
• Process-oriented, self-reliant, and accountable approach, including ownership from user-needs analysis through implementation and maintenance; ability to assess business impact such as time savings and error reduction.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, explain limitations, recommend suitable solutions, critically assess AI limitations, and identify when human oversight is required.
• Willingness to share knowledge, document solutions, and keep automations maintainable and understandable for the wider team.

Nice to have

• Experience administering Jira and Confluence, familiarity with Automation for Jira, ScriptRunner, or REST APIs in a Data Center environment, and understanding of migration challenges to Atlassian Cloud.
• Familiarity with AI agents and RAG architectures, including vector databases such as Qdrant, embeddings, and the Model Context Protocol.
• Experience evaluating LLM solution quality, creating test sets, measuring response quality, and protecting systems against prompt injection.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API and integrations with Microsoft Teams, Entra ID, Active Directory, or LDAP.
