Engineering Project Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: UK - Duxford. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.

What you will do

• Lead the full project life cycle for specialist engineering projects, installations, and strategic, high-value, or novel projects such as CMF1 re-energization.
• Support proposal development from conception to completion, including planning and health and safety compliance.
• Coordinate internal support, stakeholders, project resources, and on-site subcontractors.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope, with fit-for-purpose designs and supplied equipment meeting business, customer, and project requirements.
• Assess engineering risks, develop mitigation strategies, provide regular project updates, and manage project costs and schedules.
• Manage the projects team, including performance reviews, training requests, target setting, and work-performance standards.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering qualification or professional status.
• Experience in project engineering or project management within a multinational manufacturing organization.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
• Product and industry knowledge of plant equipment and automated systems.
• Working knowledge of commissioning processes and techniques for managing and mitigating engineering project risks.
• Experience planning resources, engaging key stakeholders, ensuring resources are available when needed, and managing engineering costs within an allocated budget.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication with people at all levels of the business.
• Driven, enthusiastic, autonomous, and self-motivated.
