Project Engineer (FMCG)

hirify.global is engaging a project engineering consultant to support capital projects at an FMCG manufacturing plant.

What you will do

• Support the project manager in scoping and delivering a portfolio of capital projects.
• Lead projects through design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Manage vendor identification, tendering, bid analysis, supplier selection, and supplier contracts.
• Coordinate construction schedules, budgets, risks, change control, and additional funding.
• Lead client engineering teams and represent the client in discussions with vendors and contractors.
• Develop project documentation, drawings, engineering standards, business cases, and technical inputs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a project engineer delivering multiple projects.
• Extensive electrical or mechanical engineering experience.
• Essential background in packaging projects within the FMCG or food sector.
• Knowledge of industry practices, procedures, and safety measures.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and work with project stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver projects in compliance with EU and UK health and safety regulations.
