Project Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead new product introduction and product improvement projects for primary flight control products.
• Split responsibilities between technical leadership and project management.
• Define project scope, deliverables, resources, costs, schedules, and execution plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage customer relationships.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while reporting progress to management.
• Deliver technical documentation demonstrating that products meet customer specifications.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Systems, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of product development experience within an aerospace company.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, business awareness, and project management skills.
• Experience with aerospace NPI processes from requirements definition through design, analysis, testing, qualification, and entry into service.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary technical project teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work onsite in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Project management experience covering planning, resourcing, monitoring, and risk management.
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems.
• Experience leading technical projects through product development processes.
• Understanding of hydraulic actuation components and systems.
• Knowledge of MS Project, Deltek, JIRA, SAP, or Teamcenter.
