Senior Project Controls Engineer (Oil & Gas)

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules in Primavera P6, including baselines, critical path analysis, and recovery plans.
• Manage budgets, commitments, expenditure, accruals, cash flow, forecasts, EAC, ETC, variance analysis, and cost trends.
• Monitor physical progress and earned value indicators, identify emerging issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Review contractor schedules, progress updates, forecasts, change submissions, and invoice support documentation.
• Prepare weekly and monthly dashboards, performance reports, and management presentations.
• Support risk registers, schedule and cost risk assessments, change control, assurance reviews, audits, and cross-functional project controls coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• 10–15 years of relevant project controls experience. Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, or major industrial projects is preferred.
• Experience in PMC, EPC, EPCM, FEED, or major capital project delivery environments.
• Strong knowledge of planning, cost engineering, forecasting, earned value management, risk management, and change management.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI and enterprise project controls systems.
• Professional certification such as PMP, AACE PSP, CCP, or equivalent.
• Commercial awareness, leadership, mentoring, and client and stakeholder management capabilities.
