Business Development Manager (Autonomous Driving)

What you will do

• Lead the Japan rollout roadmap for global autonomous driving projects.
• Optimize Uber dispatch efficiency and vehicle utilization.
• Lead negotiations, post-merger integration, and branch expansion initiatives.
• Connect frontline branches, Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and overseas headquarters to align stakeholders and communicate Japanese market realities in English.
• Identify bottlenecks, resolve unassigned operational challenges, and drive hands-on execution.
• Use AI and BPO solutions to define requirements and standardize scalable workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of practical business development or project management experience at a trading company, strategic or general consulting firm, investment bank, or fast-growing IT or mobility startup.
• Business-level English for regular meetings, negotiations, and reporting with overseas headquarters.
• Native-level Japanese.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and a proven ability to align executives and frontline staff.
• Strong ownership, flexibility, and the ability to handle unassigned challenges in a changing environment.
• Ability to understand Japanese field operations and global headquarters logic, translate between them, and build alignment.

Nice to have

• Experience in mobility or logistics.
• Knowledge of road traffic laws and related regulations.
• Experience leading PMI or BPR.
• Advanced data analysis skills.
