Software Engineer (Python/TypeScript)

Location: Contractors must be based in Poland.

Rate: 90–120 PLN/hour under a B2B service agreement.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Python backend services with FastAPI or similar technologies, plus TypeScript/React frontends.
• Take greenfield products from concept to production by making architectural decisions, prototyping, validating, and iterating under uncertainty.
• Develop and extend Twilio Functions in JavaScript for voice, IVR, and webchat flows.
• Manage AWS infrastructure as code with Terraform and deploy services independently.
• Integrate AWS Bedrock, Twilio, Cognigy, LiteLLM, and Kafka, while applying AI tooling to daily engineering work.
• Instrument and monitor services with Datadog, event forwarding, and alerting, and respond to production issues.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience building production software.
• Strong Python skills with FastAPI or a similar framework, and comfort with TypeScript/JavaScript; React experience is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD, and containerized services using Docker.
• Ability to navigate vague or changing requirements, make decisions with incomplete information, act pragmatically, and avoid analysis paralysis.
• Ability to ship iteratively, communicate clearly, and work comfortably with AI tooling in daily development.
• Must be based in Poland.

Nice to have

• Experience building products from scratch in a fast-moving team.
• Conversational AI, chatbot, or IVR experience with Twilio, Cognigy, or DialogFlow.
• LLM or GenAI integration experience, including Bedrock, RAG, or MCP servers.
• Experience with Kafka, Datadog, or customer-service and contact-center domains.
