Product Manager (Storage)

Location: United States; hybrid in San Francisco, with in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday for candidates within commuting distance of Vercel offices in San Francisco, New York, London, or Berlin; fully remote beyond the commuting distance. Location-specific details are available from recruiting.

Salary: $208,000–$312,000 annual base pay in San Francisco; compensation outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. Total compensation may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a bonus or variable pay program.

What you will do

• Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the storage portfolio, including blob storage, persistent filesystems, databases, and key-value storage.
• Ensure storage products integrate with Vercel Functions, backend services, Sandboxes, and Daemons to support complete applications and agents.
• Set performance, availability, and durability standards and make trade-off decisions involving speed and cost.
• Shape storage pricing and packaging for customers ranging from hobbyists to large enterprises.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, and DX to ship reusable storage primitives for other Vercel product teams.
• Work with enterprise customers and field teams on adoption, scale, compliance, data locality, and encryption requirements, using usage, performance, and reliability data to prioritize the roadmap.

Requirements

• Experience shipping storage, database, or data infrastructure products, such as object storage, relational databases, or key-value stores.
• Ability to go deep on storage solutions and their trade-offs and explain them clearly to engineers and customers.
• Experience owning multiple connected product areas and setting direction for other product teams.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers on data and storage requirements and translating them into roadmap decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience at a cloud provider or data storage provider.
• Engineering background or experience building software.
• Experience with compliance and security requirements in enterprise procurement.
