Senior Engineer, Frame Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Support daily tape-out operations, including technology frame requirements, frame structure layout and generation, ad-hoc changes, work queue prioritization, and hand-offs across global locations.
• Customize internally developed and commercial software tools, including generating input files that drive automation in fabs and mask houses.
• Evaluate, escalate, hold, promote, or reject tape-out support issues in collaboration with Fab, Tape-out Logistics Integration, and Field Application Engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Application Engineering, Product Engineering, Release Management, Design Enablement, Fab, and Technology Development teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase productivity, reduce costs, shorten cycle times, and enhance automation.
• Document processes and maintain failure mode assessments, mitigation plans, detection mechanisms, and EHS&S compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in EE, ECE, CSE, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Working knowledge of Unix shells and aptitude or interest in learning domain-specific programming, scripting languages, and data formats.
• Ability to communicate and work with a cross-geographic, multicultural global team.
• Analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cadence Mask Compose.
• Experience with the Virtuoso environment and SKILL programming.
• Device layout knowledge or experience.
