12D Designer

Location: Work from home, based in Ortigas, Alabang, Pampanga, or Cebu, Philippines. Work schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM ADT / 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Philippine Time.

What you will do

• Create and maintain accurate, standards-compliant 12D civil and stormwater design models.
• Produce service drawings for drainage and stormwater infrastructure.
• Design stormwater detention systems and prepare or update stormwater management plan inputs.
• Model underground drainage networks and perform flooding, overland flow, hydraulic, hydrological, and storm simulation analysis using DRAINS, HEC-RAS, and related tools.
• Coordinate models and drawings with design engineers and project teams across large-scale development projects.
• Manage multiple deliverables, perform QA checks, and improve design workflows through automation and AI-assisted tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 4–8+ years of experience in civil design, drainage design, stormwater modelling, or related work.
• Proficiency in 12D is required; Civil 3D experience may be considered as an alternative.
• Familiarity with DRAINS or the ability to learn it quickly on the job.
• Knowledge of general Australian civil engineering codes and standards.
• Ability to self-learn with guidance and follow structured processes and recorded training materials.
• Openness to AI tools and workflow automation, with a forward-thinking approach to efficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in modelling and drawing production.
• Strong time management and the ability to deliver within tight project deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with engineers and project teams.

Nice to have

• Experience working on South East Queensland projects.
• Experience with 2Flow or other storm simulation software and HEC-RAS modelling.
