Assistant Engineer (HVAC Electronics)

Location: Suzhou, China; fully onsite with no hybrid or remote work. Standard Monday–Friday schedule during normal business hours.

What you will do

• Support the development, testing, validation, certification, and sustaining of thermostat and HVAC electronic control products.
• Perform hardware verification, validation, and certification testing for product safety, quality, and reliability.
• Build prototypes, engineering samples, and test fixtures for development and qualification activities.
• Collect, analyze, and document test data, and prepare technical reports and test summaries.
• Troubleshoot product issues, conduct failure analysis, and identify root causes.
• Support laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, calibration, ISO 17025 compliance, safety audits, 5S practices, continuous improvement, and research into new control technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in electronic hardware development, testing, or laboratory operations, or relevant internship/project experience.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit fundamentals.
• Familiarity with hardware design and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with self-motivation and a commitment to continuous technical learning.

Nice to have

• Experience using hardware design tools such as Cadence or Allegro.
• Experience with thermostat, HVAC, or embedded electronic control products.
• Familiarity with UL or other product certification requirements and testing processes.
• Experience with laboratory equipment, test automation, or environmental and reliability testing.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 laboratory systems and quality processes.
• Experience performing failure analysis and root cause investigations.
• Ability to support multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
