General Manager, Research Operations (AI/Robotics)

What you will do

• Lead and develop a large research operations team and its managers.
• Own staffing, performance, retention, and day-to-day operations.
• Align people and resources with the highest-priority research and deployment work.
• Build training and development programs for more complex operational responsibilities.
• Use data to improve quality, productivity, and operational processes.
• Partner with researchers and engineers to adapt operations as research needs change.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience leading large, high-output operations teams, ideally involving physical or hands-on work.
• Experience managing and developing managers and team leads.
• Demonstrated success improving quality, productivity, and retention at scale.
• Strong judgment in staffing, prioritization, and performance management.
• Experience building teams where high-performing employees stay and grow.
• Comfort working in a fast-changing, technical environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics, hardware, manufacturing, logistics, or other complex physical operations.
• Experience supporting research or engineering teams.
• Experience building training and career development programs.
• Experience with data collection, evaluation, or deployment operations.
