Lead Product Engineer (PKG & PCB Design)

Location: San Jose, United States of America; onsite

Annual salary: $119,000–$221,000 in California, plus potential incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Capture requirements, develop, test, and deliver software integrations.
• Act as the primary interface between customers and corporate R&D for system-level design and analysis issues.
• Evaluate and qualify issues using provided test cases, execute expert-level benchmarks, and resolve complex customer problems.
• Establish efficient flows to improve system design and analysis tool quality and product performance.
• Collaborate with R&D, field teams, customers, and foundries to define product requirements and enhancements.
• Work with headquarters R&D and Product Engineers across global sites to resolve technical issues and support product rollout.

Requirements

• 4+ years of extraction experience and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering are required.
• Strong background in package and PCB design, electromagnetic analysis, and solver technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Clarity, Sigrity, APD, Allegro, or compatible third-party design and analysis tools.
• Experience with extraction in advanced technology nodes.
• Knowledge and experience with physical verification processes, including test and measurement and simulation correlation.
• Knowledge and experience with circuit simulator tools such as SystemSI, Spectre, Microwave Office, ADS, or HSPICE.
• Good communication skills with internal team members and external customers.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Master’s or Ph.D. degree, or equivalent.
• Programming experience in Tcl, Python, or SKILL.
