Investment Banking Vice President (Equity Capital Markets)

Location: New York, NY, United States; onsite position

Salary: $250,000–$300,000 base salary, plus potential discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Originate and lead equity capital markets transactions for corporate, financial sponsor, and venture capital clients.
• Develop materials for client meetings focused on strategic priorities, potential M&A, and capital markets transactions.
• Coordinate with product and industry teams, client management teams, investors, and legal advisors to execute transactions and evaluate strategic alternatives.
• Review junior team members’ analytical work and provide mentorship, direction, and oversight to analysts and associates.
• Develop investor-targeting strategies by analyzing comparable companies, institutional ownership, and potential institutional buyers.
• Manage critical stages of the transaction lifecycle, including equity financing project management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 or more years of relevant experience in Equity Capital Markets, Capital Markets, or a related area.
• At least 2 years of experience leading deal teams of analysts and associates.
• Strong understanding of transaction lifecycles and the key steps required to execute equity capital markets transactions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic, high motivation, and excellent attention to detail.
• Personal integrity, initiative, and demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Ability to establish relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and serve as a key point of contact.
• Strong academic and professional track record.
• Maturity and judgment to work effectively with professionals at all levels across the firm and with external clients, including the ability to make timely, well-reasoned decisions in complex situations.
