Mechanical Engineer (Robotics)

Location: San Carlos, California, United States; on-site

Base pay: $130,000–$180,000 per year, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.

What you will do

• Deliver the next-generation mechanical design for warehouse robots.
• Design and manage components across the hardware lifecycle, from concept and fabrication through testing and production.
• Collaborate with electrical engineering, product, and software teams to align design decisions with system constraints.
• Identify and resolve issues in current robot systems while considering engineering effort and budget.
• Build rapid prototypes and iterate on mechanical designs.
• Design and execute test plans for mechanical designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks and PDM.
• Experience working with robotic or mechatronic systems.
• Experience working with and managing vendors.
• Ability to communicate effectively across functions and work independently.
