Undergraduate - Basketball and Events Intern (AI)

Location: New York, USA; hybrid option with remote work one day per week

What you will do

• Support cross-functional strategy and operations with technology and innovation teams.
• Monitor game operations, arena standards, league activities, and implementation of game rules.
• Support team travel processes, including compliance, hotel and transportation standards, and player experience improvements.
• Support hirify.global Summer League programming and on-site activations for affiliate league partners.
• Contribute to retail, marketing, Jr. hirify.global, Jr. Whirify.global, and hirify.global International programming, including schools, tournaments, and development clinics.
• Conduct field research on sports technology trends and products that could enhance basketball.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate program and entering senior year in the academic year following the internship.
• Maintain excellent academic standing.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate leadership through relevant extracurricular or community activities.
• Have strong project management skills, including data measurement and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate proficiency with software such as Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new computer programs.
• Demonstrate foundational mastery of AI technologies for project execution and business objectives.
• Roles are typically suited to majors including Business Management, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, Operations, Sports Administration, Sports Business, or Sports Marketing.

Nice to have

• Passion for basketball, the hirify.global, and its affiliate leagues.
• Strong understanding of the global basketball landscape.
• Experience with website and digital/social content design and UX/UI marketing.
• Experience using AI technologies and platforms to organize and accomplish tasks.
• Skilled facilitation and presentation abilities.
