Program Manager/Subject Matter Expert I (Defense Acquisition)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; full-time onsite role with approximately 10% travel.

What you will do

• Provide program management and strategic leadership for UH-60M procurement, modification, sustainment, and Foreign Military Sales portfolios.
• Define program vision, scope, objectives, baselines, resource forecasts, and Integrated Master Schedules across the acquisition lifecycle.
• Monitor cost, schedule, performance metrics, KPIs, risks, issues, opportunities, and acquisition milestones.
• Coordinate procurement, engineering changes, modification, fielding, sustainment, contracting, and foreign disclosure activities with multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate with the Army Security Assistance Enterprise, government stakeholders, OEMs, and foreign defense representatives to meet delivery requirements.
• Prepare executive briefings, program status reports, acquisition documentation, performance updates, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting defense acquisition programs, including program analysis, cost and schedule monitoring, performance reporting, and acquisition documentation.
• Knowledge of Department of War directives and the Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM / DoD 5105.38-M).
• Experience executing procurement, fielding, and sustainment tasks with engineering, contracting, integrated product teams, and foreign disclosure teams.
• Ability to develop, monitor, and manage Integrated Master Schedules, program baselines, and risk, issue, and opportunity tracking.
• Strong organizational, critical-thinking, written, verbal communication, collaboration, and coordination skills.
• Ability to prepare executive briefings and communicate complex acquisition information to senior DoD and USG leadership.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting the Utility Helicopters Project Office or UH-60M procurement, modification, and sustainment programs.
• Familiarity with Foreign Military Sales case management and the Army Security Assistance Enterprise.
• Experience coordinating with USASAC, DASA DEC, DCMA, OEMs, and foreign defense representatives.
• Knowledge of Army aviation acquisition processes, production schedules, modification programs, and total package fielding.
• Experience working with Sikorsky/Lockheed Martin or other industry partners.
• Experience identifying process improvements and implementing strategies to improve program performance, efficiency, and mission execution.
