Project Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, United States; onsite. Travel: 10–20%.

What you will do

• Support the Air Force SEEK EAGLE Evaluation of Compatibility and Technical Advisory process.
• Manage budgets, schedules, resources, and store certification analyses within established constraints.
• Participate in airborne weapon systems development, integration, testing, and evaluation.
• Communicate and brief internal and external SEEK EAGLE stakeholders, including Government and contractor personnel.
• Assist with estimating future store certification efforts and collaborate with other Project Managers and Government personnel to improve processes.
• Work in a mixed-badge environment as part of a collaborative program team.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience with an Associate’s degree, including 6 years of directly relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret Security Clearance.
• Knowledge or experience with Air Force aircraft and weapon systems.
• Project management background or experience.
• Advanced thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Very good attention to detail, ownership, and pride in the work.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• 7 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a Master’s degree in a related field.
• 10 or more years of directly relevant experience.
• PMP or another certification.
• Familiarity with engineering practices and processes.
• Experience interacting with external customers and stakeholders for Department of Defense programs.
• Aircrew or maintenance experience with the F-35 aircraft.
• Familiarity with aircraft-delivered weapons and their components.
