Commercial Airside Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Lexington, Kentucky, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday and flexible work location on Fridays; domestic and international travel may be required, estimated at 10%.

Annual base salary: $100,000.

What you will do

• Document, understand, and prioritize internal and external customer requirements.
• Apply technical expertise to solve design problems and assess product suitability for different applications.
• Contribute to project teams meeting performance, reliability, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Create and maintain 3D models, bills of materials, drawings, specifications, and related engineering records.
• Conduct design FMEAs, risk assessments, design reviews, and risk mitigation activities for safe, reliable, and manufacturable designs.
• Support design improvements, DFM implementation, validation testing, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and cost and margin improvement initiatives while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality, product management, and lab teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science or an engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience contributing to technical aspects of product design projects, validation testing, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to work effectively across engineering, design, operations, and manufacturing teams.
• Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make progress across concurrent assignments.
• Proficiency with standard engineering and business software tools.

• Experience in HVAC, air handling equipment, or related engineered product environments.
