Control Systems Engineer/Programmer (Honeywell DCS)

Location: Detroit, MI and various unanticipated worksites throughout the US

What you will do

• Program and maintain control systems supporting a Honeywell DCS in a refinery.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and support management decisions on modernizing Honeywell TDC 3000 to Honeywell Experion DCS during live plant operations.
• Ensure safe, uninterrupted plant operations throughout the upgrade process.
• Configure and develop applications using Honeywell Experion PKS, Control Builder, Quick Builder, HMIWeb Display Builder, C300, and HPM.
• Perform Experion release migration, LCN-to-ELCN and UCN-to-EUCN migration, DCS virtualization, and Modbus integration.
• Support the Process Control Network infrastructure, network security, and backup systems; troubleshoot with Instrumentation Technicians and tune control loops with console operators.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field; an equivalent foreign degree is accepted.
• Five years of experience in this position, as an Automation Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer, System Engineer, or in a related occupation.
• At least one year of experience using all of the following: Honeywell Experion PKS, Honeywell TDC 3000, Honeywell Control Builder, Honeywell Quick Builder, HMIWeb Display Builder, C300 configuration and application development, on-process Experion release migration, LCN-to-ELCN migration, UCN-to-EUCN migration, HPM configuration and application development, DCS virtualization, and Modbus integration.
• A suitable combination of education, training, and experience will also be accepted.
