What you will do

• Provide on-site Combat System Maintenance Coordinator and On Site Representative support to the Ship Design Manager for PMS312D.
• Manage and oversee shipyard execution and advanced planning for combat system and equipment design, acquisition, construction, modernization, and installation.
• Monitor production through daily Island Mast, Tower, and Combat Systems tours, identifying equipment issues that may affect key events and milestones.
• Review inspection reports, design memoranda, liaison action requests, schedules, work packages, and technical records for accuracy and production impact.
• Coordinate Main Mast, Island, and Radar Tower work between Alteration Installation Teams and Newport News Shipbuilding.
• Plan removal, repair, installation, and testing of combat, C4I, C4ISR, and ancillary support equipment, including CAPSTONE installations.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance or above.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 20 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with aircraft carrier maintenance and operations, shipbuilding, or ship repair business analysis.
• Knowledge of combat systems, including radars, antennas, communications, networking systems, and associated shipboard equipment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with continuous availability through a contractor-furnished mobile device.

Nice to have

• Project or program management experience.
• Former U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer, Chief Warrant Officer, or Limited Duty Officer experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Experience with shipyards, NSWC/NUWC, SUPSHIP, Regional Maintenance Centers, or Type Commanders.
