Project Leader (New Product Development)

Location: Anderson, SC, United States; 3–10% travel required.

What you will do

• Lead moderate- to high-complexity new product development initiatives from concept through mass production with minimal oversight.
• Own technical scope, drive design decisions and trade-off analyses, and coordinate cross-functional execution.
• Manage cost, schedule, performance targets, project risks, schedules, meetings, escalations, and delivery accountability.
• Coordinate with product management, cross-functional departments, leadership, external suppliers, and US/Asia sourcing and supply chain teams.
• Drive build readiness planning and ensure component delivery throughout the development process.
• Build team accountability and collaboration, motivate project members, and present project updates, risks, and business cases to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to manage projects with extreme ownership against aggressive schedules and results in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Ability to adapt to constant change and competing priorities; results-driven and deadline-oriented.
• Excellent problem identification and resolution skills.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams.
• Ability to develop and nurture productive business relationships and influence and educate internal team members and external suppliers.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and project leadership skills.
