Annual base salary: $161,400–$266,300

What you will do

• Lead business and technical projects involving the design and development of analytical solutions for insurance claims.
• Build complex statistical and machine learning models and deliver analytics into marketplace products.
• Develop community best practices in AI, machine learning, statistical techniques, and coding.
• Guide technical strategy, challenge conventional thinking, build consensus, and communicate analysis and insights to business and technical leaders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to execute data science strategies and support multiple projects.
• Mentor less experienced analytics professionals, onboard employees and interns, and contribute to training, recruiting, and talent assessment.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Decision Sciences, Actuarial Science, or a related analytical STEM field plus five years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Heavy concentration in mathematics, including statistics and programming, business intelligence or analytics, data science tools, and research using large datasets; specific coursework will require additional verification.
• Subject matter expertise in modeling, research, analytics, or actuarial work, as well as value creation and business model concepts.
• Expertise in multiple statistical software programs and advanced statistics underlying data models.
• Ability to develop highly complex models, interpret model results, recommend adjustments, and apply emerging statistical procedures to complex work.
• Subject matter expertise in 3–5 areas among regression, classification, machine vision, natural language processing, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
• Hands-on experience building and evaluating LLM-based applications and AI agents, including prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, tool use, and orchestration.
• Experience designing generative AI evaluation approaches covering accuracy, hallucination and error analysis, and golden-set creation.
• Ability to elicit requirements from non-technical stakeholders and turn ambiguous business problems into well-scoped solutions; familiarity with insurance claims data and processes.
