AI Summer Intern – Data Science & AI

Location: New York, NY; 9-week hybrid summer internship with in-office work required 2–3 days per week

Salary: $35/hour, 40 hours per week

What you will do

• Develop and implement AI, machine learning, generative AI, and analytics solutions for life sciences client projects.
• Research AI models, analytical approaches, tools, and implementation techniques for business use cases.
• Analyze, evaluate, test, and validate AI models using real-world healthcare and life sciences data.
• Collaborate with data scientists, consultants, and engineers on model enhancements and proof-of-concept solutions.
• Support AI-related proposals, pitches, solution overviews, presentations, technical reports, and documentation.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in computer science, data science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
• Current junior undergraduate students or master's students with one year remaining are targeted.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models, or agentic frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, independent-work, and collaboration skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience developing AI, machine learning, or generative AI solutions.
• Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
• Experience with large language models, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, or retrieval-augmented generation.
• Experience with natural language processing, image processing, healthcare data, pharmaceutical data, claims, clinical, or commercial data.
• Ability to translate technical concepts and analytical findings into presentations and documentation for nontechnical audiences.
