Commercial Credit Senior Associate, Large Corporate (Fintech)

Location: Onsite position in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States of America.

Salary: $116,400.00–$194,000.00 annual (USD).

What you will do

• Execute commercial credit transactions and manage loan portfolios across the credit lifecycle, from deal screening and approval through ongoing monitoring.
• Underwrite new credit requests, material modifications, restructurings, and renewals, including recommendations on terms, conditions, controls, collateral, and guarantors.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, due diligence reports, credit bureau data, appraisals, industry research, peer data, and other credit information.
• Prepare credit analyses, financial models, cash-flow analyses, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, financial statement spreads, and guarantor statement analyses.
• Monitor credit risk through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, problem-loan management, early-warning indicators, risk-rating updates, and other credit surveillance activities.
• Partner with relationship managers, credit teams, clients, and prospects; present analyses and address questions during credit discussions and committee presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field and 5 years of experience in commercial credit, public accounting, financial statement preparation or analysis, or other financial analysis. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of combined higher education and work experience, including 5 years in the specified financial-analysis areas, is required.
• Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, credit-metric analysis, financial-ratio interpretation, data analysis, and trend analysis.
• Emerging proficiency in understanding and negotiating legal documentation, structural analysis, and independently structuring transactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Customer-focused interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to understand and apply financial regulatory requirements, Commercial Credit Policy, risk standards, policies, controls, and the Company’s Risk Appetite.
• Ability to lead a transaction execution team in partnership with a Commercial Credit Analyst and provide input into the development and training of junior or newly hired Analysts.
