Underwriter III - Commercial

Location: In-office in Philadelphia, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Dallas, TX; East Brunswick, NJ; Chicago, IL; or Atlanta, GA

Base salary: $86,250.00–$158,125.00 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Prepare loan offerings, risk ratings, scorecards, and credit recommendations for transactions of varying complexity.
• Analyze creditworthiness, collateral strength, financial condition, risks, and mitigants for transaction parties.
• Manage ongoing credit risk for assigned portfolios and perform pre-approval and post-approval activities.
• Gather and validate information from internal and external customers and resolve incomplete or inconsistent data.
• Confirm regulatory requirements and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, coach or review other underwriters, and support special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant or direct industry experience.
• Knowledge of commercial underwriting, credit analysis, financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit decision-making.
• Ability to work independently, exercise elevated approval authority, make decisions, and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, communication, critical-thinking, and coaching skills.
