What you will do

• Partner with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve design, application, technology-platform, and design-enablement issues for PMIC applications, including battery chargers, DC-DC converters, LDOs, and power switches.
• Translate customer and engineering requirements into practical design and implementation solutions, validate proposed solutions, and drive required design-enablement capabilities.
• Identify technical and enablement gaps, investigate root causes, and resolve complex or non-recurring issues affecting customer designs using GF technologies and methodologies.
• Coordinate solutions across PDK, modeling, IP, EDA, reliability, product engineering, quality, sales, and other teams.
• Manage technical scope, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, risks, recovery plans, customer follow-up, and project execution.
• Provide customer support through case resolution, design reviews, training, documentation, mentoring, technical forums, application notes, troubleshooting guidance, runbooks, automation, and reusable engineering flows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years.
• Working knowledge of PMIC technology and circuit design development through tape-out, including battery chargers, DC-DC converters, LDOs, power switches, or related applications.
• Expertise in at least one relevant technical discipline and proficiency in a second, such as IC design, EDA tools and methodologies, semiconductor technology applications, or design enablement.
• Working knowledge of semiconductor design-enablement components and interfaces, including PDKs, device models, IP, EDA tools, reliability requirements, and product engineering.
• Ability to understand and advocate for customer requirements, translate complex needs into practical solutions, and evaluate solutions against technical objectives and implementation constraints.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical and methodology issues, investigate root causes, and resolve complex or non-recurring problems.
• Experience collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams, representing Application Engineering, and coordinating technical work.
• Ability to independently manage technical tasks and projects, including deliverables, milestones, dependencies, risks, and customer follow-up.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and provide guidance through case support, design reviews, training, and documentation; strong technical writing, presentation, and communication skills; professional accountability, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and mentoring ability.

• Expertise applying Power Management technology, circuit design, or EDA methodologies to customer solutions.
• Ability to resolve novel technical issues, mobilize cross-functional resources, drive engagements, advocate for customer needs, influence decisions, align stakeholders, and introduce efficiency improvements.
• Experience leading complex technical projects or cross-functional initiatives and managing scope, dependencies, risks, and recovery plans.

• Experience mentoring, coaching, and training engineers.
