Portfolio Lead (Technology)

Location: Remote in Poland with visits to the Warsaw or Cracow office roughly once a month; the final recruitment step takes place in the office.

What you will do

• Own and govern a technology portfolio of 30+ programmes and projects across multiple domains and markets, maintaining visibility of status, dependencies, budgets, timelines, outcomes and risks.
• Translate business strategy into a portfolio roadmap with Engineering, Product and domain leadership.
• Track cross-programme dependencies, risks and work in progress; lead prioritisation, trade-off discussions and escalation of critical blockers.
• Run Weekly Business Reviews, prepare CTO and GLT briefings, distribute updates to senior leadership and maintain weekly InStandards reporting.
• Define and enforce delivery frameworks, intake processes and portfolio standards across Technology and beyond.
• Govern Atlassian, Jira and Confluence portfolio tooling, including cloud migration, and lead the PMO for strategic cross-functional programmes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in technical programme, project or portfolio management, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead TPM role.
• 5+ years managing complex, cross-functional programmes in multi-domain, multi-team environments.
• Experience managing portfolios at real scale, with a background as a project, senior product or programme manager working across larger-scale initiatives.
• Experience coordinating delivery across multiple geographies and regulatory contexts.
• Strong dependency, risk, work-in-progress and financial tracking skills at programme or portfolio level.
• Hands-on knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Aha!, MS Project or similar portfolio tools, plus Agile, SAFe, Waterfall and Kanban methodologies.
• Solid technical understanding of software architecture, APIs, cloud and databases, together with SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience producing executive-level reporting, including Weekly Business Reviews and CTO or C-suite briefings.
• Assertiveness, strong organisation, clear communication and the ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.
• Fluent English at C1/C2 level.

Nice to have

• Experience in logistics, e-commerce or fintech/payments, including portfolio management at group or international scale.
• Master’s degree in Business or Engineering Management.
• PMP, PgMP, SAFe, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, ITIL or equivalent certification; Lean/Six Sigma knowledge; basic programming skills.
• Product-company experience.
