Software Development Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; hybrid work with telecommuting available up to 3 days per week within the Seattle Metropolitan area, subject to manager approval.

Salary: $144,000–$180,000 per year.

What you will do

• Define technical requirements, architecture, and performance standards for platform services with Product Engineering and Information Technology.
• Develop scalable, easy-to-use software platforms using modern programming languages, deployment systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Implement platform systems that standardize development practices and improve engineering productivity.
• Reengineer and accelerate developer tools and internal engineering practices to improve productivity and reliability.
• Test and evaluate software and network automation tools against internal standards and industry best practices.
• Validate software systems for compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements in collaboration with Infrastructure and Security teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, plus 2 years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, version control, testing, implementation, and debugging.
• At least 1 year of experience conducting code reviews and contributing to system design and architecture discussions.
• At least 1 year of experience designing algorithms and data structures.
• At least 1 year of experience designing and coding RESTful APIs.
• At least 1 year of experience developing SaaS applications using RESTful APIs and Golang to implement features and improve engineering performance.
• At least 1 year of experience designing, developing, and automating unit, integration, and functional tests.
• At least 1 year of experience programming and developing software with Bootstrap, CSS, Docker, ExpressJS, Git, HTML, Java, JavaScript, Jira, NodeJS, NoSQL, Python, ReactJS, React Native, Ruby, and TypeScript.
