Chief SW Engineer (Fintech)

Location: US - Austin, TX; hybrid position with office attendance determined by the Hiring Manager. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $195,900–$314,000 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and applicable sales incentive payments.

What you will do

• Develop and test automation frameworks and contribute to core payment product code.
• Deliver software products and features from initial design through development, testing, release, and post-deployment support.
• Build proof-of-concept solutions that use data to address business challenges.
• Scope work, identify risks, communicate trade-offs, and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate and participate in continuous integration activities within an agile team.
• Support data governance and system infrastructure tasks as required.

Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, 9+ years with an advanced degree, 6+ years with a PhD, or 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing and testing automation frameworks.
• Experience delivering products and features from concept through deployment.
• Experience working in agile software development environments.
• Experience with effort scoping, risk identification, stakeholder communication, and continuous integration.
• Experience with data governance and system infrastructure tasks.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 12+ years with an advanced degree.
• Hands-on experience with proof of concepts, development, testing, and post-deployment support.
• Experience adapting to changing team requirements and communicating technical risks.
