Software Engineer (AI/Fintech)

What you will do

• Build and maintain a secure adapter connecting retail and grocery store systems, starting with BRdata, to the accounts-payable platform.
• Design reliable full and delta synchronization with retries, backoff, conflict handling, and clear failure visibility.
• Own local data handling, credential storage, packaging, updates, and installation for software running on store-owned Windows machines.
• Build setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting experiences for store staff and support teams.
• Work with pilot retail and grocery customers to diagnose network, permissions, and data-access issues.
• Define the adapter data model and mapping layer as additional store systems are integrated.

Requirements

• 5+ years of strong software engineering experience with end-to-end product ownership.
• Experience shipping software that runs on end-user machines, including packaging and distribution.
• Solid database experience and the ability to reverse-engineer schemas in third-party systems.
• Experience building dependable integrations and synchronization code with idempotency, retries, partial-failure handling, and observability.
• Practical experience with integration and end-to-end testing, including real-world network and locked-down-machine failure modes.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity in a new and fast-moving product area.

Nice to have

• Experience with retail or grocery back-office systems, POS integrations, or field-deployed software for non-technical users.
