Full-Stack Engineer (PHP)

What you will do

• Develop end-to-end features for social and gameplay systems, from concept through release, monitoring, and iteration.
• Implement JavaScript frontend functionality across iOS, Android, and Web.
• Build backend services and scalable RESTful APIs in PHP for gameplay, social, and LiveOps features.
• Contribute to data modeling and persistence for player progression, rewards, and events.
• Improve frontend and backend performance, reliability, testability, and production readiness for large player populations and high concurrency.
• Partner with Product to scope technical solutions, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and improve architecture, tooling, and delivery practices.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Professional production experience with JavaScript.
• Experience building backend services in a live environment.
• Experience crafting and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of client-server architecture.
• Experience contributing to features through the full development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a player-first approach.

Nice to have

• Backend services development experience in PHP, strongly preferred.
• Experience working within an existing PHP codebase.
• Experience building gameplay systems such as events, rewards, progression, or social mechanics.
• Experience in mobile gaming, social casino, or Games-as-a-Service environments.
• Familiarity with experimentation, feature flags, or live feature delivery.
• Mobile development experience for iOS and/or Android.
