TL;DR
Oracle SQL DBA / Systems Administrator (Oracle SQL/Linux): Supporting and enhancing Oracle-based systems and Linux servers through upgrades, troubleshooting, automation, and application support with an accent on system reliability, performance, and business-critical infrastructure. Focus on diagnosing root causes, automating manual integrations, conducting performance testing, and implementing monitored system improvements.

Location: St. Louis, MO; hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite per week.

What you will do

  • Support Oracle-based systems and Linux servers hosting business-critical applications.
  • Perform system upgrades, enhancements, configuration changes, and application support.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, determine root causes, and improve system availability and efficiency.
  • Analyze, design, code, test, configure, and modify software projects, products, operating system components, tools, and utilities.
  • Automate integrations currently performed manually and conduct performance testing.
  • Prepare technical documentation for testing, QA, training, troubleshooting, operating procedures, installation, and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Strong Oracle SQL database experience.
  • Ability to build, configure, patch, monitor, and support Linux servers.
  • Experience supporting Linux servers hosting business-critical applications.
