Knowledge Architect (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Livingston, NJ; New York, NY; Sunnyvale, CA; or Bellevue, WA. The role requires access to export-controlled information; applicants must be U.S. persons, eligible for access without export authorization, or eligible and reasonably likely to obtain authorization.

Base salary: $134,000–$179,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits based on eligibility.

What you will do

• Write, edit, and maintain internal technical documentation, including systems documentation, workflows, runbooks, and developer guides.
• Build and maintain onboarding and informational content for engineering departments and teams, including coverage for underserved teams.
• Interview engineers and subject matter experts to capture undocumented knowledge and convert it into published documentation.
• Maintain Confluence spaces, navigation, labels, templates, and content lifecycles, including the AI Developer Tools Hub and other knowledge hubs.
• Manage documentation requests from intake and scoping through delivery and publication, while communicating timelines and status.
• Audit published documentation for accuracy, coverage, and discoverability, and remediate identified gaps.

Requirements

• Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation for technical audiences, including systems documentation, runbooks, workflows, or developer guides.
• Experience interviewing engineers or subject matter experts and converting the findings into published documentation.
• Experience owning content in Confluence or a comparable platform, including page structure, navigation, labeling, and templates.
• Experience applying documentation style guides and template sets consistently, and using AI tools to scale and improve documentation output.
• Experience auditing an existing documentation estate and remediating gaps in accuracy, coverage, or discoverability.
• Experience managing a request queue in Jira or a comparable system, including scoping work and committing to delivery dates.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver across multiple concurrent stakeholder teams.

Nice to have

• Experience documenting cloud, Kubernetes, GPU, and AI/ML infrastructure.
• Experience building or maintaining onboarding content for engineering organizations.
• Experience with docs-as-code workflows, enterprise search, content discoverability, and information architecture for large or fragmented content estates.
• Experience documenting HPC or ML workload schedulers such as Slurm, SUNK, or Kueue, including upgrades, node drain states, and control-plane troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with inference and training technologies such as vLLM, SGLang, TensorRT-LLM, or NCCL, and with running and reporting MLPerf benchmarks.
• Experience writing for both platform engineers operating a system and researchers or customers consuming it.
