Market Analyst (Fintech)

What you will do

• Advise the CFO, VP of Strategic Finance, executive leadership, and Board of Directors on global financial trends, fintech disruption, and market intelligence.
• Lead quantitative research across open finance, digital banking, data aggregation, and consumer financial behavior; build TAM/SAM/SOM models for expansion opportunities.
• Develop financial feasibility models, value calculators, unit economics frameworks, pricing analyses, and product ROI assessments with FP&A and Pricing & Monetization.
• Monitor macroeconomic conditions, regulatory changes, competitive metrics, and systemic market risks across financial technology platforms.
• Partner with Revenue Operations, Product Management, Corporate Strategy, and Marketing to inform OKRs, product roadmaps, GTM investments, and M&A evaluations.
• Establish data hygiene and research standards and mentor junior and mid-level analysts in quantitative modeling, data visualization, and executive storytelling.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Finance, Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, Statistics, or an MBA with a quantitative concentration.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic market research, strategic finance, equity research, or corporate strategy within Financial Services, SaaS, or Fintech organizations.
• Experience advising C-suite executives, Board members, and industry partners, with exceptional data-driven storytelling and strategic memorandum capabilities.
• Expert proficiency in advanced quantitative financial modeling, unit economic analysis, statistical forecasting, and market research methodologies.
• Deep expertise in open banking, data aggregation, SaaS monetization models, and financial institution operating structures.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or equivalent professional certification.
• Hands-on proficiency with Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Domo, PitchBook, S&P Capital IQ, and CB Insights.
