Strategy & Operations Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote from any location; convenient office in Chicago, IL.

What you will do

• Identify business opportunities, optimize products and workflows, and evaluate performance to improve growth and operational efficiency.
• Translate business objectives into project plans, product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from discovery and requirements gathering through prioritization, development, testing, launch, and post-launch evaluation.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, and other stakeholders to align priorities and resolve dependencies.
• Build data-driven recommendations and business cases, manage timelines and communications, and monitor results against success metrics.
• Design scalable operational processes that improve efficiency, customer experience, and business performance.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in strategy, operations, product management, business analysis, management consulting, or a high-growth fintech or startup environment.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects from concept through execution.
• Strong product management skills, including requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization, and coordination with technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using data to evaluate performance and measure initiative impact.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in fintech, payments, lending, or financial services.
• Experience with SQL, business intelligence tools, process automation, or workflow optimization.
