EHS Business Partner (Manufacturing)

Location: Wood Dale, Illinois, United States; onsite manufacturing role. Travel up to 10–15% to other Videojet facilities for benchmarking and Kaizen activities.

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 USD per year, plus eligibility for incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead environmental, health, and safety programs in a manufacturing environment and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage EHS programs, written procedures, records, reporting, inspections, audits, permits, monitoring, testing, training, and medical surveillance.
• Partner with site leadership and the Global Director of EHS to establish goals and KPIs, analyze performance, and implement sustained improvements.
• Maintain the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and oversee hazardous waste documentation, handling, storage, inspections, and disposal.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting, customer and contractor EHS requirements, FM Global property risk management, and regulatory responses.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, industrial hygiene assessments, emergency preparedness, business continuity, and EHS-focused Kaizen activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Sustainability, or another engineering- or science-focused field.
• At least three years of EHS management experience, preferably in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience managing compliance issues, permitting, manufacturing operations, OSHA and EPA programs, regulatory reviews, permit preparation, reporting, and recordkeeping.
• Experience with flammable liquids and Class I, Division I safety and compliance requirements.
• Ability to travel up to 10–15% for benchmarking and Kaizen activities at other Videojet facilities.
• Ability to build partnerships with associates, site leaders, and cross-functional teams; translate EHS requirements into practical manufacturing actions; use data and KPIs to identify gaps; and drive accountability and sustained improvements.

Nice to have

• Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, or another EHS-related certification.
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor experience.
