AI Engineer (NLP/LLM)

Location: London, UK — hybrid; flexible location arrangements are available within the UK.

Salary: Up to £70,000 per year, dependent on experience.

What you will do

• Partner with stakeholders to understand processes and data and identify high-value GenAI use cases.
• Deploy scalable AI solutions across the business within the Data Science & AI team.
• Collaborate with DevOps, data engineers, developers, testers, and Infosec specialists to productionise AI services in AWS.
• Improve the technology stack, including MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, UI, and the AI Python library.
• Assess third-party GenAI and LLM technologies for feasibility and cost-benefit.

Requirements

• Proven commercial experience applying, researching, and developing NLP models, including prompt engineering and fine-tuning LLMs.
• Experience working with non-technical stakeholders to scope, design, and deliver effective ML solutions.
• Proficiency with the Python data science stack, including pandas, scikit-learn, and Jupyter.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Exposure to LLMOps, model monitoring, CI/CD, and related technologies such as Docker, MLflow, Kubernetes, and FastAPI.
• Knowledge and practical experience of Agile methodologies.
