Quality Assurance Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid; regular in-office collaboration required, with more days in-office than remote. Applicants should be within commuting distance of Lincoln or Omaha, Nebraska, United States.

Base salary: $51,000–$106,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Champion quality within a performance analysis squad by participating in sprint ceremonies, understanding core problems, and prioritizing defects.
• Create test plans, implement quality best practices, use data to drive outcomes, and ensure post-mortems or root cause analyses are completed for hotfixes.
• Perform automated, exploratory, and manual testing from start to finish, resolve sub-defects, and ensure merge builds run cleanly.
• Help build and scale tools for film breakdowns, tagging, statistics, reporting, and reliable video and data analysis.
• Dedicate time to professional development and skill-building.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software testing experience in fast-paced environments with changing deadlines.
• Solid experience designing and executing tests across the stack, including front-end UI validation and in-depth API testing.
• Hands-on proficiency with key languages such as Python or TypeScript and modern automation frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium.
• Experience testing iOS or Android applications, including mobile-specific performance, UI nuances, and automation using Appium, Detox, and/or React Native tooling.
• Understanding of APIs and protocols used by mobile applications, including GraphQL and REST.
• Ability to work effectively within a global team, lead with empathy, communicate clearly, solve technical and team challenges, think creatively about breaking software, and stay user-focused.
• Passion for learning and openness to professional growth.

Nice to have

• Experience in a SaaS environment or a background in a STEM-related field.
• Curiosity about and exposure to AI tools such as LLMs, coding assistants, or test data generators for documentation, test case creation, or initial failure diagnosis.
• Experience with Scrum and participation in sprint ceremonies.
