Motion & Control Supplier Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Rehovot, Israel; international travel required up to 25% of the time.

What you will do

• Lead supplier engineering activities for precision motion systems, stages, bearings, motors, encoders, and related assemblies.
• Support NPI transitions from R&D to manufacturing at global suppliers and drive supplier qualifications, process validations, and production readiness.
• Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Conduct supplier audits, identify process improvements, and support production ramp-ups while ensuring process control, traceability, and product quality.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
• Lead technical projects, manage escalations, and drive corrective actions to improve supplier performance, capacity, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering is required.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience is required.
• Experience working with external suppliers and in manufacturing environments is required.
• Strong technical understanding of precision mechanical or electromechanical systems.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis, 8D, FMEA, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

• Experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
• Experience with motion systems, stages, bearings, motors, encoders, or automation equipment.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and supporting production ramp-ups.
