Mechanical Practical Engineer (Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Assemble, integrate, validate, and troubleshoot mechanical test stations in production and development environments.
• Create detailed mechanical and assembly drawings for test station components and assemblies.
• Release and maintain accurate bills of materials for test stations.
• Improve test station reliability, repeatability, ergonomics, and ease of maintenance.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and electrical engineers on test setup integration.
• Support NPI, purchasing, manufacturing initiatives, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience designing and developing test fixtures, test stations, or similar electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical components, materials, manufacturing processes, and design for assembly.
• Experience designing for reliability, repeatability, maintainability, and manufacturability.
• Experience creating engineering drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
• Strong practical skills in mechanical assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
