Lead Applications Development (Java)

Location: Bedminster, New Jersey; Atlanta, Georgia; or Dallas, Texas. Office presence is required at least 5 days per week, and the role is available only at the posted locations. No relocation is offered.

Salary: $143,800–$215,800 USD annual.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and implement applications that meet business requirements and user needs.
• Enhance existing applications, resolve defects and production issues, improve performance and automation, and maintain compatibility with evolving technologies.
• Gather and analyze requirements and user stories with stakeholders and maintain technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing while providing technical, operational, and production support.
• Lead significant development initiatives, establish technical direction, and coordinate work across cross-functional teams.
• Manage development activities, dependencies, and risks while evaluating technologies and recommending improvements to architecture, scalability, performance, and development practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in application development or software engineering.
• Expert-level experience with Java, J2EE, Java Servlets, and Apache Tomcat.
• Strong experience with Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Advanced proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Apache Ant, and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux and Linux-based environments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Angular and/or React.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, PL/pgSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Python, Perl, Go, and Node.js.
• Experience with Databricks and Snowflake.
