Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Remote within the United States; the position is headquartered in Corona Del Mar, California, and allows telecommuting from various worksites throughout the United States.

Salary: $159,251 per year; remote pay range: $159,251–$159,251 USD.

What you will do

• Analyze complex business and system problems and translate requirements into scalable software solutions.
• Lead architectural design and technical planning for major platforms and payment features, including the Worldpay Payment Facilitation system.
• Develop production-grade payment systems and frameworks using Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
• Build complex features, integrate third-party APIs such as Stripe and TriPOS, and develop services on GCP and AWS.
• Investigate payment discrepancies, manage system health, resolve production issues, and patch critical defects.
• Review code, improve engineering practices, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with product managers.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least one year of post-baccalaureate experience as a software engineer in finance or a related field.
• Experience with Java, Hibernate, Spring, Apache Struts, full-stack development, Oracle databases, high-volume transaction processing, data reporting, and process automation.
• Ability to work remotely from within the United States.
