Executive Consultant Risk Control Commercial Accounts

Location: Hybrid in Morristown, New Jersey, United States; requires consistent field presence with approximately 20%–50% customer time, including possible overnight and extended travel by car or air.

Salary: $109,300–$180,200 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Independently prepare, conduct, and complete technically detailed risk assessments of high-complexity commercial risks across multiple industries and lines of coverage.
• Consult with clients to implement risk-control measures that reduce, mitigate, or prevent losses.
• Build collaborative relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver coordinated risk-reduction services.
• Mentor and coach less experienced consultants and provide technical guidance on complex or high-stakes accounts.
• Review and sign off on risk assessments and recommendations requiring higher-level expertise or certification.
• Contribute to strategic improvement initiatives and maintain current knowledge of industry trends, regulations, certifications, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, construction management, basic sciences, or a related technical field.
• Eight or more years of multiline risk control or risk management experience in the property and casualty insurance industry.
• Certification in one or more relevant industry-recognized designations or licenses, such as ASP, ARM, CSP, CFPS, CIH, or CPE.
• Coaching and talent development, verbal and written communication, critical thinking and analytical, influencing and relationship-building, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Seven years of experience in safety, risk control or management, or a related field such as occupational or environmental health and safety, science, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or relevant military experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Where applicable, appropriate certification must be held or obtained to meet state-specific requirements within the agreed timeframe.
