What you will do

• Translate academic research papers between Japanese and English.
• Work on manuscripts covering applied physics and other technical subject areas.
• Help researchers communicate and publish cutting-edge research in prestigious scientific journals.

Requirements

• Technical expertise in applied physics or the relevant subject area.
• Meet at least one of the following criteria: a degree in Translation or an equivalent degree with significant translation training from a recognized institution; a graduate or higher degree in another field from a recognized higher-education institution plus two years of comprehensive professional translation experience; or five years of comprehensive professional translation experience.
• Translate between Japanese and native English.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a foreign-language setting.
